JT4 is seeking a highly skilled Engineer and motivated individual to join our team in support of the United States Air Force's Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) program. This position is located on Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, NV location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements, setting up test environments, implementing data instrumentation and collection plans, and operating control room equipment and simulators as needed within the context of the JSE. The primary focus of this role is on Fighter Aircraft simulation, making a background in aerospace engineering or military modeling and simulation highly beneficial. Key Responsibilities: Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements for modeling and simulation activities within the Joint Simulation Environment, ensuring alignment with Air Force testing goals. Test Environment Setup: Design and set up test environments within the JSE framework, ensuring they accurately represent real-world conditions for simulation and testing purposes. Data Instrumentation: Develop and implement data instrumentation plans within the JSE to collect critical data during testing, ensuring accurate and comprehensive data capture. Control Room Operations: Operate control room equipment and simulators within the JSE during test activities, ensuring the smooth execution of simulations and providing real-time support as required. Simulation Engineering: Perform modeling and simulation tasks as related to Fighter Aircraft test within the Joint Simulation Environment, including system modeling, integration, and validation, while adhering to simulation message protocols. Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including aerospace engineers, military personnel, and simulation experts, to achieve project objectives within the Joint Simulation Environment. Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous testing and validation within the JSE to ensure the accuracy and reliability of simulations. REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution and 8 years of related engineering experience, or have an accredited Master of Science in Engineering with at least 6 years of related engineering experience, or have an accredited doctoral degree in Engineering with at least 4 years of related engineering experience. Must have comprehensive knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering to provide consultative services on development programs and in the design and development of systems and components. Knowledge and skill sufficient to apply the latest developments in engineering to solve complex problems in the specialty area. The incumbent must have excellent communication and analytical skills and must possess effective planning/organizing skills. Must have a working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools. Must possess well-developed leadership skills and have the ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems from a broad prospective. Must possess a valid, state issued driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
